A Moment

Wistful, lovelorn she lays anticipating love,
restlessly, sadden she recalls memories once part of,
Desolated, abandon feels the night,
longing for that soft touch that once was right.

Whispers softly the voice of her past,
tears falling down as she morns at last,
Standing, strongly she lets go of it now,
relieving the sorrow, she now allows.

Silently, weeping her heart is filled with sorrow,
images, scintillated broken is her soul,
Wiping, the tears that threatened to take control,
wanting comfort, yearning to change tomorrow.

Drifting and exhausted but now fast asleep,
haunted by her love he appears in her sleep,
Happy is that moment which seems so real,
tender kisses she now thinks she can feel.
